Ballet is the foundation for all dance forms.

In 1987 Sue Darrow founded the Dancescape Ballet Company to give serious ballet dancers an opportunity to perform full-length ballet productions. Since December 1997, the company has performed The Nutcracker each year, and other previous shows include Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz. The company is made up of dedicated ballet students with a high level of commitment to the dance form and company. Registered ballet students are welcome to audition to be a part of the company.

NUTCRACKER BALLERINA CAMP

Three day camp will include a craft to take home, learning a short routine along with basic ballet technique, and a short performance at the end of the last class!

Pre Ballet students who are signed up for a Fall session (September-May), are invited to participate in our annual Nutcracker performance. This camp will provide a taste of the beloved Nutcracker experience!

Nutcracker Auditions will be held Wednesday, August 26th and Thursday, August 27th.

Dancers will choose ONE day to audition. 

Dancers eligible to audition must meet the following requirements:

1. Be at least 9 years of age OR 8 years of age WITH AT LEAST 2 PRIOR YEARS OF NUTCRACKER EXPERIENCE.

2. Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet class for the entire Fall 2026/2027 dance year.

3. Dancers must be enrolled ONLY at Brittany's School of Dance for the entire Fall 2026/2027 dance year.
